Creating And Exporting Shot Storyboards

Use the shot storyboard tools to collect visual frames beside each shot, review them in scene order and export a storyboard PDF. Storyboard images are attached to shot records, so the shot details and visual references stay together.

Add Storyboard Images To A Shot

  1. Open Shot List, choose an imported scene and select View beside the shot.
  2. Open the Storyboards tab.
  3. Add images using the available storyboard image controls.
  4. Add movement or detail notes to describe the frame.

The storyboard tab depends on production access and your permissions. The Draw storyboard control is available only to authorised administrators.

Review A Scene Storyboard

  1. Open the scene's shot list.
  2. Select Storyboards.
  3. Use Manage to review frames alongside their shots, or Storyboard to view the frames as a board.

You can change shot order in the storyboard management view. The storyboard board follows the current shot order.

Export Storyboard PDFs

  • On a scene's storyboard page, select Export PDF to download that scene's storyboard.
  • From Shot List, select Export Storyboard PDF to download storyboards across scenes.

The PDF contains uploaded storyboard images and the available shot and frame descriptions. If a PDF cannot be generated, check that the source images are available and readable.
