Creating And Organising Shot Lists
Shot List organises shots by scene. Use Imported Scenes for breakdown scenes or Custom Shot Lists for coverage that is not tied to imported screenplay writing.
Create A Custom List
- Open Shot List → Custom Shot Lists.
- Select Create New Shot List.
- Enter Shot List Name and an optional Scene Number.
- Select Create Shot List.
For an imported scene, select Manage or its heading under Imported Scenes instead.
Add Shots
- Open the scene/list.
- Select Create Single Shot.
- Enter Shot, Description, Visual Description and Audio Description as appropriate. Description is required.
- Select Create Shot.
- Alternatively, use Create Group Of Shots, choose the number to add and confirm to create several starting rows.
- Open each shot with View to complete its details.
Organise And Update
Use Bulk Update to change several rows together. Edit shot labels, descriptions and available options, then select Update Shot List. The Delete checkboxes on this screen mark shots for removal when the update is submitted; check them carefully.
Where Visual View is available, drag shot handles to reorder the shots. Use this view when you need to change their sequence.
Select rows and use Remove Selected Shots when you intend to delete them; its confirmation warns that removal cannot be undone. Download Shot List exports the scene list.
Troubleshooting
An empty Imported Scenes list needs a built screenplay in breakdown. A custom list does not have the imported script context. Group creation supplies starting shots; you still need to describe the coverage.
