Creating A Story Location

Create a story location in CinePlatform to track a place required by the screenplay, such as a kitchen, office or street. Story locations are separate from the real filming options, which are recorded as location sets.

Create A Location

1. Select Locations in the production menu.
2. Select Add Location or Create New Location.
3. Enter a Location Name and, if useful, a Description.
4. Select Create New Location.

Open the new location to add its filming requirements and location sets. A location may already have been created during screenplay import, so check the list before adding a duplicate.

What Happens Next

A new location does not automatically assign itself to screenplay scenes or select a filming set. Check the scene's location details in the breakdown, then create or assign one or more location sets and approve the selected set.
