Scouting And Managing Location Sets

Location sets hold practical details about real places you may film. Assign a set to one or more screenplay locations, compare the candidates and approve the selected option.

Location Set Workflow

  1. Create a location set for a new filming option, or locate an existing set.
  2. Manage the set details, including address, contacts, access and logistics.
  3. Assign the set to each relevant story location.
  4. Approve the chosen set for the story location.
  5. Download a location set report to share the recorded scouting details.

Assignment and approval are separate. Several options can be assigned to one story location, but approval identifies the current filming choice. A schedule or call sheet without a filming address may use a story location with no approved set or a set without an address.
