What is a catering requirements sheet?
A catering requirements sheet records the dietary needs, allergies and preferences of cast and crew, along with meal times and numbers for each shoot day. It is shared with your caterer or the person organising food on set.
Why do I need one?
Good food keeps morale and energy high on long days, and getting it wrong can cause delays or even health risks. Collecting allergies and dietary needs in advance means vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free and allergy-safe meals are ready when needed, and your caterer can plan accurate quantities.
What should it include?
List each person, their role, dietary requirements, allergies, meal preferences, the shoot dates they attend, and the times and locations for meals and snacks. Always highlight serious allergies clearly.
